"Coronary Care"

About: Pilgrim Hospital

I was admitted in May to a&e with a heart attack. My I I tial am it table resulted in being put in a small room off the main area with the doors closed while they waited for blood test results. The Health care worker did this and it made me feel as if they thought nothing was wrong. An hour later and the team ran into action as i had had a heart attack. From then on i was impressed. A nurse came down from Boston coronary Care ward who was superb and she took over to get stable. Eventually after what seemed like many hours they took me to the Boston coronary Care unit where the care was second to none. The people skills and the communication was excellent. I was transferred to Lincoln the next day but I did miss the nurse standard of thinking about the person. Lincoln needs to take some lessons from Boston coronary Care on people skills. Not so much the junior nurses but more the ones in charge. We do have an excellent hospital at Boston generally that we knock too much but ad most cases these days they sometimes need more nurses. Couldn't fault coronary Care unit.
