"My experience was excellent"

About: Telford referral and quality service (TRAQS)

(as the patient),

My experience at DBS Ophthalmology Donnington was excellent. Until I received the TRAQS phone call I didn't realise my GP had referred me at all. As for TRAQS “explanation of the choices of hospital” I was just given the options and chose one.

Dear Curious756

Thank you for sharing your positive experience with the TRAQS team.

The Ophthalmology Service at Donnington is there to help the local hospitals cope with the extra capacity they are experiencing and to reduce waiting times. The Service provides clinics at both Donnington and Woodside and the TRAQS team offer all available appointments available at the time that they speak to the patient to book their appointment.

The referral would have been initiated by your optician who wrote to your GP to request the referral. Unfortunatley we are aware that not all opticians advise the patient that they are being referred so it does come as a surprise when TRAQS contact them to arrange an appointment.

Thank you again for sharing your positive comments with the TRAQS team.
