(as a parent/guardian),

My 9 year old son was at a play ground when he had a fall. We took him to heartlands A&E. The waiting time was a joke, but once seen he was treated really well by a brilliant doctor in the department. His clinical finding was a splenic laceration with intrasplenic haematomas and haemoperitoneum. He was treated conservatively and improved after spending time in Hdu and ward 16.

Many thanks for your feedback. I am pleased to hear about the excellent doctor who saw your son and pleased to hear he is now home after his injury. I wonder if you could contact me direct with some details so I can give this feedback to the doctor personally.

Dear Sir or Madam, Thanking you for taking the time to post your comments following your sons accident in a playground. I am extremely sorry that your son was not seen in a timely manner as I can appreciate he must have been in a lot of pain at the time. However it is reassuring to know, that once he was seen, everything went well for him. All feedback is used by our Patient Experience Team to identify themes and trends across the organisation to highlight areas of improvement as well as areas of excellence.
