I asked one question and was asked a hundred questions in return but my question was never answered.

It’s not nice to see doctors with small questions when they are so very busy and I had seen reports about how helpful the 111 service has been so I rang them with this question: if someone is on Tramadol and has been on this for quite a while how long does it take for the dependency on the drug to wear off?

The young lady who answered my call was not medically trained (I asked her) and the only advice she could give me was to speak to my GP or pharmacist. I did this as the 111 service were unable to answer the question. I knew I had become dependent on this medication and wanted to stop taking it, I also know that it would have effects and that it would take time. I just wanted to know how long or some indication so that I could be prepared for it.
