My daughter called the 999 emergency services when my husband’s condition was deteriorating. The ambulance arrived very quickly, the paramedic was very good – excellent, nothing to complain about!
A number of checks were carried out: blood pressure, pulse, temperature and he asked a lot of questions and examined my husband. My husband’s left knee was bothering him and had previously been to see the doctor but the pain was getting worse, the knee had swollen and he was getting more confused – this is when my daughter decided to call for help.
The paramedic suggested my husband took Temazepam to help him sleep and to go and see our GP the following day. Our GP had put him on liquid morphine which did not agree with him.
We were very satisfied with the paramedic.
