"Lovely staff, wonderful compassionate care"

About: Scunthorpe General Hospital

Last August I sadly lost a daughter during pregnancy, prior to the actual loss I had been staying frequently on the Gyne ward (Ward 19) And received brilliant care, the staff and the surroundings are wonderful and it's lovely and clean, at a very distressing time it was a comfort to be a patient in this ward. The only down side is that the ward is closed at the weekend so you have to be moved elsewhere in the hospital. At the time of my actual loss the midwives and delivery ward staff were brilliant, supportive, compassionate and handled me and my situation, because of this I was able to enjoy my birth and will remember the lovely treatment I received for the rest of my life :) I gave birth to my first Daughter at Scunthorpe, and am now (with the help of the brilliant anti-natal consultants at SGH) 28 weeks pregnant again and looking forward to my experience at Scunthorpe again, I would recommend Scunthorpe to all of my friends and family, awesome staff, lovely surroundings and competent decisions :)

Hello, thank you so much for this really touching review, which has been shared with the teams and senior managers. I'm sure they are all wishing you the absolute best with your pregnancy and look forward to supporting you through to the birth itself. Best wishes, Sarah Mainprize
