"Recent AAA operation"

About: Cheltenham General Hospital

My husband had surgery last month for an abdominal aorta aneurism. The vascular surgeon explained fully the details of the operation and advised on what to expect post-op. There were also detailed leaflets to explain the nature of the surgery involved. The care given from staff on the Critical Care Department and from those on Guiting ward was exemplary. In every way the 10 day duration of my husband's stay was made comfortable and reassuring by the consideration and skills of all of those who attended him. Thank you for your wonderful care!

Hello there, Thank you very much for taking the time to share this feedback with us. It's good to hear that your husband was so well looked after before, during and after his operation and we hope he's well on his way to making a full recovery at home. We will certainly pass on your comments to the vascular surgeons and the staff on Guiting Ward and we're sure they'll be pleased to know he was happy with the care received. Thanks again, The team at Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
