"her latest night ever! :D"

About: Whiston Hospital / General surgery

(as a relative),

My sister came out in a patchy rash. It wasn't too serious although she was extremely itchy and she felt a bit ill. This is about 11:00pm we must've set out for the walk in centre.

No luck, the walk in centre closes at 10:00pm, who made that rule?

So we took the car to Whiston hospital. After taking ten minutes to find a car park space we went inside to get seen to. We were seen to pretty quickly and the nurse that first saw my sister was wonderful and treated her very nicely.

We sat in the children's waiting room for a while, under a noisy, annoying TV with 'damages' showing, a program I'd watched previously to the trip out and didn't think all that appropriate to be shown in a children's waiting room.

After about one hour in the waiting room my sister was given something for her rash and we sat waiting for a result.

As most people know, hospitals get quite warm, my aunt who'd taken us to hospital went to find us a drink after returning a few minutes later with news that the drinks machine was out of order. So my sister, being only quite young was now getting quite agitated with the noise of the TV so my aunt decided to try and turn it down (failing miserably).

After about another two hours we were put into the private room (the second waiting room) which was even more uncomfortable than the last. By now my sister had had enough, she felt much better although the drowsiness from the medication she'd been given and the tiredness that set in at 2:00am was starting to get to her.

Finally we got home at 3:00am and thankfully she's promised never to be ill again :D
