"An experience that could have been very different"

About: Kettering General Hospital

I had an urgent appointment at the Opthalmology dept. It was to establish if I had wet Macula Degeneration. It was confirmed, that at this stage it is dry, bad whichever type! I am afraid the anxiety over the outcome was just too much, and as a result I felt extremely nauseous. At all times the staff were extraordinary. They insisted, I lie down. They would not listen to my concern that their schedule would be interrupted. Their care and sympathy was such that to think of it now, fills me with gratitude. They are the ultimate example of professional care, with a heart. My thanks to the Consultant and his wonderful team. Sincerely Howard Mallett

It was lovely to receive such positive feedback for the team in the Ophthalmology Department. This has been communicated to all the staff who really appreciate your taking the time to share this with them. Thank you once again. Karen Birch Practice and Pathways Sister
