About: Royal Derby Hospital

A huge thank you to all the staff at the maternity hospital & neonatal. My daughter was visiting Derbyshire at the weekend with a hen party, when at 32 wks pregnant her waters broke. Chaos at the hen due, but the paramedics were amazing with my daughter Jen. Emergency c section and baby Ellen was born weighing 4lb 3oz . All the theatre staff , ward 314 staff were brilliant. Down in the neonatal Ellen had the very best of care. We cannot thank you all enough, our NHS is wonderful, what would we do without it. My daughter & baby have transferred to a hospital nearer home now. But i wanted to thank your wonderful hospital for caring so well for them all, daddy included

Patient or family feedback, either positive or negative, is very important to us as it allows us to share good practice and also learn where we can do better and implmenent changes to improve the quality of our care and services. We do expect our staff to strive hard to provide high quality care to all our patients and therefore we were delighted to hear you felt this this aim was achieved on this very special occasion. I will ensure all the appropriate staff are able to share your lovely comments as I am sure they also will be most appreciative.
