"12 week scan"

About: Horton General Hospital

I had my previous child at the Horton and was very satisfied with the care I received. When I got pregnant again, I was not hesitant about going back. I had my 12 week scan today and left feeling very uninformed and upset. This may be my second child but that does not mean I can remember everything and don't need reassurance. The first member of staff I saw, rushed me through and seemed very bothered by my two short questions. Then when we had the ultrasound; I must have been on the bed about 40 seconds and wasn't talked through anything to do with my baby. I then asked for photos. These were forgotten and had to be collected after the next patient had been seen and are terrible quality. I left feeling very emotional and even unsure about the health of my baby.
