"Rude staff"

About: Doncaster Royal Infirmary

I had gone to get a chair as I was visiting a relative and one of the nurses had placed her computer trolley right in front of the door to the bay and when I said excuse me, she was very rude, huffing and puffing and muttering under her breath at me. In the end I basically had to push past her trolley and move it slightly because she didn't move it, she only moved herself. This is disgraceful for staff to treat relatives like this when we are obviously going through a stressful time when we have family members in hospital. Also when ringing the bell for assistance, they take ages to come! One time I rang the bell for my relative and they came 15 minutes later with this constant buzzing going off when I could see in plain sight some of the healthcare assistants and nurses at the nursing station stood larking around. So much for professional integrity! I eventually had to go and get one and complain to them about why they aren't answering the bell! Another member of staff even argued with my relative about her care that they really needed immediately but refused to give it. It's just disgusting! The main problem at DRI is the staff and their competence at doing the job in hand. Here I am talking about a few selective members of staff and there are many amazing members of staff at DRI but it's them few that make the care very poor and uncomfortable.
