I was seen by the Mental Health and pain team at Leighton Hospital to treat the pain in my stomach and my anxiety and depression. Whilst there I felt vulnerable, as the nurses weren't nice. They were telling other patients and visitors about me. They shouldn't talk about my problem with other people! Also, a nurse refused to give me morphine even though I was prescribed it which left me in pain.
They needed the bed, so I was discharged at 9.30am, but I was left waiting until 4.30pm for my tablets! I needed my tablets so I had to wait which I think is pathetic. I'm depressed already but being in hospital made it worse. I felt so low whilst I was there and now I am off the ward I feel better. I was told confusing things. They told me I had to go to the Mental Health Ward, but I was never sent. However, the pain team were great, they helped to stop my pain and made it all better. But I never want to go back onto that ward. I think the Mental Health team will be visiting me soon to keep an eye on me, which is good but I don't know when they are supposed to be coming.
