I was admitted to hospital 36 weeks pregnant with high blood pressure and later discovered my baby was small so was planned for induction the following week. unfortunately after 3 failed attempts at induction and four days later i was taken into theater for a c section . from the moment we went into the hospital everything was explained thoroughly and all risks explained, every midwife took the time to reassure me of what was happening throughout ,as this was my first child it was a frightening time . the doctors were lovely and took time to explain things too. although was a traumatic time being in I feel I was in great hands and well looked after and the best choices were made. The care i received form everyone was fantastic but I would like to say a special mention to one of the lead midwifes, he was fantastic from start to finish and i think my experience would have been alot more frightening had he not been there, he explained everything in full detail from induction process to exactly what would happen in the theater which meant i never got any shocks during the process, and was caring and compassionate throughout . also the two student midwifes that were in. also the doctor, all were fabulous and a credit to the department.
"fantastic care by everyone"
