"GP and mental health"

About: Hertfordshire and the South Midlands

(as the patient),

I often loose my medication. It's always in the one cupboard though. A hoarder and a messy house - it's no surprise! All the joy of mental health.

I put in a repeat prescription for all my medication which included anti-depressants at my doctor's surgery (sovereign medical centre). It was Wednesday, I had only two left. I had none on the Friday and wasn't feeling good, so better half went to get it. Came out with a note and didn't understand. They said I had the meds. Went to Dr and complained to management who got Dr to see me. I explained on some days I took more (a Dr had advised I could. Not this Dr).

Instead of asking if I was OK and reviewing the meds, and I got a telling off for taking more and for not having them.

I did find a months worth later, but as they are so important what would it matter to have a few extra?

The hospital had already had to override their decision to take me off the meds while I was pregnant. I had been hospitalised with the previous pregnancy and had bad post natal depression. Tonight I'm ill.

I shouldn't feel that way when leaving a Dr surgery. I have tried other GP, this GP was the only one I thought had a heart. I was wrong. I want my old GP, but out of catchment. It's nor far at all.
