"TRAQS people were very kind and considerate to me"

About: Telford referral and quality service (TRAQS)

(as the patient),

When I visited my GP about my ear, nose, throat pain, he just told me he would write to arrange an appointment with the ENT department and nothing else. It was me who contacted the ENT Dept at the hospital only to be told to contact TRAQS. I knew nothing about this service.

I consider the Doctor very lax in his caring role as a doctor to me and will think twice before I see him again. However, the TRAQS people were completely the opposite; they were very kind and considerate to me.

Thank you for your positive feedback relating to your experience of using the TRAQS service.

I am sorry that the information provided by your GP at the time of referral was not accurate. TRAQS provide all GP practices with a supply of information leaflets which shoud be given to any patient who is being referred for further treatment via the TRAQS Service, The leaflet explains what TRAQS does and how the referral process works. I am sorry that on this occasion you were not provided with one of the leaflets, I am sure you would have found it beneficial and you would have had the necessary contact information for the team who would have been happy to to see if your referral had been received and to check progress for you.

If you are unhappy with the information provided by your GP I am sure that the Practice Manager will be happy to look into your concerns on your behalf.
