"His face would light up when staff visited"

About: John Taylor Hospice

(as a staff member posting for a carer/relative),

I can never say enough about John Taylor and their staff and all that they did for my husband and for me. He got to know the staff really well and his face would light up when they arrived to visit. So many of the staff are like family.

There was nothing more that the Hospice could have done for us. They were really wonderful, always friendly and always caring. They really got to know him and could always make him laugh.

People hear the word ‘Hospice’ and they think it’s just somewhere that people go and don’t come out of. But we received so much care from there and my husband was able to be at home, which was really important for us.

We couldn’t have managed without the Hospice and the other services which were provided help to him.

Thank you so much for telling your story. I'm happy that we were able to take care of your husband in a way that worked for both you and him. With all best wishes.
