"Took ages to get taken seriously"

Took ages to get taken seriously, I’ve dealt with managers – locum G. Ps, nurses – everyone, lies written about what I said – diagnosis as a sprain – repeatedly (it’s lasted a year! )

I feel that the privatisation of the NHS has caused this. Making health care a poor compare with bad ideas. If it was a centralised service that was under one umbrella, there would be no hiding place for such poor service. And I don’t exactly understand the point of TRAQS – money for old rope (You asked)

I am sorry to hear of your frustration in not being taken seriously by the medical staff within your practice. If you have issues relating to the practice staff the first person to approach would be the Practice Manager who will, I am sure, be happy to listen to your concerns.

I can assure you that the NHS has not been privatised., it remains free at the point of delivery.

TRAQS was created at the request of the GPs within the Telford and Wrekin area to ensure that patients were offered Choice of provider which is their legal right under the NHS Patients Charter. TRAQS launched in June 2012 and during the past 2 years we have processed and booked over 83,000 referrals on behalf of the patients registered with the GP practices within the Telford and Wrekin area.

TRAQS takes Customer Service very seriously and endeavours to offer a friendly, patient focused service for the benefit of all patients within our area, TRAQS is able to offer patients the Choice of attending NHS hospitals anywhere within England. Patients are no longer limited to accessing services at their local hospital. Many patients have taken advantage of this extended Choice over the past 2 years since TRAQS began.

TRAQS have provided all GP practices with a supply of information leaflets which explain who TRAQS are and what happens once a patient is referred via TRAQS. It is not clear from your comment whether your GP provided you with a copy but it not and you would like a copy I would be happy to arrange for one to be posted to you.
