"Managing patients while managing change."

I was admitted to the West Wing for surgery on 28 July 14. I knew about the grand enhancements taking place and that the wonderful Maple Ward was out of commission before I arrived. I immediately became aware of the huge energy being poured into maintaining care levels and throughput despite the obvious bed shortage which is clearly a short term expedient which impacts on the whole facility. Those of us who need hospital treatment have much to look forward to and meantime we have an excellent hard working and well motivated team and we should try, wherever possible, to be patient and positive and to give these guys whatever support we can.
