On my first visit to my husband he said he was not getting his parkinson's medication on time and not the right tablets. I spoke to the nurse who told me they had changed the times to fit in with their drug rounds. I explained it was not good enough and explained the reasons why. On the second day the doctors had changed the medication back to the correct times and told staff he was to have it on time.
My husband was not allowed his tab time super 8 while in hospital, but to be fair he probably was unable to use it as he was unable to unlock his medication locker.
I was concerned as twice while I was visiting the nurses were giving him the wrong madopar tablets. 125mg capsules. They were not reading the bottles correctly and I had to explain the difference between the disperable for morning (quick release) and the slow release for night time, he was being offered them during the day.
My additional concern was nurses not having time to wash and shave patients(not all patients). I shaved and showered my husband.
