"Treatment for Cataracts - long wait"

About: Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust

(as other),

The optician came to my house and discovered cataracts. I contacted the GP and was referred to hospital. It's good the optician, GP and Nurse will do home visits. From the eye test to the clinic appointment took around 6 months. The first appointment was cancelled by the hospital, then I was sent a new appointment a few days later. I was pleased because the cancelled appointment was for 9am, the new one for 1. 30pm - much better for an older person.

The elective care building is good, but I felt the wait for the appointment was too long as my eyesight is so poor.
