"Removed patient from Lister & took to Lincoln county"

About: Lincoln County Hospital Lister Hospital

(as a relative),

My partner waited 5 days at stevenage hospital for an emergency operation ( with prep for surgery every day and no hydration) after which on GP's advice I removed her and took her to lincoln county hospital where she was treated outstandingly and operated on the next morning. Appalling treatment in every possible way.

Dear Jpp

Thank you for leaving us these lovely comments regarding your partner's care at Lincoln county hospital. I am unsure which ward she was admitted to and I would like to pass this on to them. If you could drop me an email with the details I will ensure they are passed to the teams involved in her care. My email is sharon.kidd@ulh.nhs.uk

Regards

Sharon

We're really sorry that your experience of our service at the Lister hospital was not what you expected or wanted.

We're concerned about what happened with your partner and would like to get this followed up for you as at least the resulting investigation should at least look in to the delays and why they happened.

If you are happy to give us that chance, then please just email us at generalenquiries.enh-tr@nhs.net and we will take it from there for you and your partner.

You are clearly unhappy with the care your partner had been receiving at the Lister, for which we are sorry. If you have not done so already, we would encourage you to make a formal complaint (this can be sent to patcomplaints.enh-tr@nhs.net) if that is easier for you both. If mistakes have been made, then they need to be investigated and if nothing else, it allows us to apologise formally to you and your partner for any shortcomings that may have happened when your partner was at the Lister. Whilst we very much hope that your partner does give us that opportunity, we also hope that they now go on to make a full and speedy recovery.
