(as the patient),

I was contacted by the physio Dept to advise of a first appointment for the next day. I was able to attend and was treated very well, thorough examination by attentive and polite physio. All this before getting the letter from TRAQS about my referral. Well done Newport Cottage Hospital!

I am pleased that you were able to receive treatment so promptly following your referral via TRAQS.

TRAQS send patient referrals electronically to Newport Cottage Hospital over a secure encrypted service called Choose and Book. This means that as soon as the referral is processed by TRAQS it is available to review by Newport Cottage Hospital. TRAQS then send a letter to the patient advising that they have passed the referral to Newport Cottage Hospital and that the hospital will contact the patient to arrange an appointment in due course.

In some cases the patient can be offered an early appointment and begin treatment before the letter from TRAQS is received. This appears to have happened in this case.

I am pleased to note that you have begun treatment and hope that you are benefiting from the treatment you are receiving.
