What could be improved
My Nan was originally admitted to Warrington Hospital in October 2007 for an operation after falling and breaking her hip.
Her operation was successful and she was expected to be in for 2-3 weeks before discharging her.
During her recuperation, however, she was left in a side room where the window did not close properly and there was a constant draught. Despite informing staff of this, nothing was done.
My Nan's stay in hospital lengthened and after a suspected case of pneumonia she later developed a form of MRSA.
My Nan never left hospital and, after a deterioration in her condition, died on her Birthday in January 2008.
