"No one from ‘TRAQS’ contacted me at any point"

About: Telford referral and quality service (TRAQS)

(as the patient),

At the point of needing a referral my G. P. did not have time for a face to face appointment and decided over a phone call to cease my medication and send me for a scan. No-one from ‘TRAQS’ contacted me at any point; just an appointment time/date arrived.

When I rang the hospital to confirm it became evident the hospital could not meet my complex needs on the arranged date and had to cancel the original appointment and re-arrange it with the correct resources.

Thank you for writing to us.

I should clarify that TRAQS is not responsible for arranging scans; this would have been arranged by your GP Practice. TRAQS is only involved when a referral to a specialist/clinic becomes necessary for the patient to see a consultant.
