I had cancer now going through chemotherapy and would just like to let the staff know what a fantastic team they are.
All the staff are polite considerate kind and very understanding to the needs of the patient. They are amazing making a very difficult time as relaxed and comfortable as possible nothing is too much trouble and a friendly smile just makes it a unpleasant time so much nicer.
I first saw Dr Anwar who told me what treatments I would be having he went through the procedure explaining clearly and he see`s me before each treatment to check how I am and he does have a laugh with you and tells your family to stop on holiday while you have to come back to have treatment, Which is nice cause its not very often you see doctors laughing and joking about.
When you enter the ward Chantelle knows your name (although she may forget a few sometimes) ask how you are and her cheerful chats are nice way to start. Then Anne-marie, Julie, Gemma, Adroa, Rachel, are just some of the nurses I have met so far and each and everyone of them are just excellent especially Anne-marie she made me feel so welcome on our first chat meeting she told me all about what was going to happen in detail made sure I was clear and understood everything. Although she didn't give me my chemo treatment she popped in just see if I was ok.
It is just a wonderful ward I only wish they could get their own ward so if you do have any problems you know you will go on to a specialist ward I know this is something that all the staff would like.
I would like to say THANK YOU TO YOU ALL AND SORRY IF I HAVE MISSED ANYONE OR SPELT THEIR NAMES WRONG. I know there are staff that I haven`t met and I`m sure they are just as kind and caring as the ones I have met. BIG WELL DONE TO YOU ALL. I DO HOPE YOU GET TO SEE THIS OR AT LEAST BE TOLD ABOUT IT.
