"Poor post-op care after fasciectomy"

Arrived at hospital - no signs tontheatre admissions; staff member on reception asked for directions couldn't speak goid enough English and sent me to wrong place. Eventually found it with help from other patients. Poor pr-op experience. Anaesthetist and nurse forgot blood pressure monitor on and injected anaesthetic causing sharp pain. They then scrambled to switch off and deflate monitor. Post -op care useless with bad-tempered sister who needs to be told to learn manners. No information or guidance given by post-op team. They forgot to put on sling. When asked they they put one on but nurse who did it, instead of having hand elevated above heart level, left it at navel level. My wife then fixed up proper sling. They mucked up painkiller prescription and pharmacy refused to issue them. Was told I'd have to wait at least another hour if not more. Ended up having to phone own doctor and arrange to pick up prescription on way back from hospital. No post-op visit by doctor or advice about how to look after hand prior tonremoval of plaster and stitches. Vague instructions aboutvreturning in two weeks and no advice on how to spot if stirches burst or there is infection under dressing/plaster. Overall, very, very poor post-op care. Co sidering formal complaint.
