"Contradictory information,pass the buck and still..."

About: Leicester Royal Infirmary

My 80 year old father spent 2 1/2 weeks in the LRI for Cellulitis and was discharged 9 days ago. He has since spent one more night in as his cellulitis is not completely gone and a wound in his leg was made to bleed uncontrollably by an incorrect method of changing his dressing. The lack of after care is shocking, no instructions,no follow up and more importantly no medication which we were told he would need has been prescribed. The District nurses say call GP, the GP says tell District Nurses. They all say contact hospital and hospital say contact GP or nurse and here we sit over another weekend without the basic things my Dad needs.No wonder he cannot get a hold of his condition. It is disgusting and the right hand needs to tell the left hand what they are doing and stop passing the buck to other departments. Perhaps this might get me a conversation with somebody who is willing to help him and if the only way that happens is complaining that is terrible in itself.
