"Total disgrace, Worthing Hospital should be..."

About: Worthing Hospital

Recently attended the Eye Clinic at Worthing, and have had nothing but a negative experience. I have had misdiagnosis, lost notes, extremely rude staff, and a flat out refusal that I have a cataract. I am now at the point where I cannot see at all out of the affected eye, which resulted in a nasty incident while out shopping in Brighton, where I was verbally abused by a member of the public after I accidentally bumped into him. He was very aggressive, and I am now too scared to leave the house alone, and am accompanied by my grown up children who are moving away very soon. I have no idea what I will do when this happens, as I am literally too scared to be out alone as I feel too vulnerable. I was promised by Worthing Hospital that the surgery would definitely be carried out within a fortnight, then was told that the surgeon hadn't even looked at my notes, was on holiday and not back until Monday, and there was no guarantee he would do it! Mentally, i am now a total wreck, as I am constantly promised I will have the surgery, only to be told actually, no, it won't be done/they've lost my notes/no one has heard of me/etc. I am also virtually housebound, very fragile and vulnerable, and feel utterly betrayed and let down by the NHS as a whole, and particularly Worthing Hospital.
