We were advised by the Pharmacist at Boots, City Centre, Newcastle, to seek attention for our 12 year old daughter who had been unwell for several days whilst we were on holiday from Co Antrim, NI., last Saturday 19th July. We were on our way to Carlisle after a lovely few days in Newcastle. At Royal Victoria Infirmary we were directed to the Paediatric Emergency Dept and from the Receptionist and Nurse that seen us at first, to the Paediatrician and senior Consultant at the end.....the help and attention we received was excellent, efficient, and very much appreciated! Our daughter was diagnosed with a nasty strep throat and oral pencillin, ibruprofen etc, was given to us, which was administered, and allowed us to continue our journey that evening. Thank you so much to all the staff. We would certainly recommend the RVI to anyone seeking medical assistance.
