"A&E>>shambles"

About: University Hospital Aintree

I went to A&E on the 30/06/14,with severe back pain and could hardly walk,i eventually got to see a consultant who asked what my problem was and said there is nothing they can do besides pain killers and rest I burst into tears knowing full well I could not cope with being sent away when I had been in so much pain already and so uncomfortable I was in agony,he told me he could try me with morphine I.V drip and try and try and stableise the pain,i asked time and time again for a scan I never suffer with my back and I knew there was something wrong I could not even bear down ,sit, stand, walk,a right mess.i was kept in over night next day still in pain I was asked all the red flag questions and even thou I was not incontanant I was certainly numbish down below,i asked for scan I was refused again,i was seen by a physio nurse who gave me excersises and walked me up and down the stairs ,I was then sent home bloods done before I went and no results given.on the 7/7/14 I was sent for mri scan ,I had no idea where my results were going to I was told nothing a young man in the mri department phoned around until he got hold ar aconsultants name for me,results in 7days is when I was told to phone him ,this I did on the 14/7/14/ and told him what had happened so far as he knew nothing about me and no notes where sent to him,the very next day 15/7/14 ,A&E department phoned me up and said for me to get an ambulance in asap as my scan results showed a possible emergency ..I went in and was scanned straite away I was told my scan looked worse than the 1st time I had it done, i had a full bladder of 500mls and had no sensation to go ,i tryed and only managed to flow 100mls.he and another consultant were deciding what to do with me again, although i felt myself like new problems were happening to me i was told my notes have been passed to the other neuro and there was no more they could do..the medication prescribed to me by the hospital caused me to be constipated for 7 days which nothing was prescribed to help with that problem even though the meds prescribed causes it and i was in even more pain if that was even possible i went back to the hospital to A&E on the 19th still in pain and constipated it was so pressing on my back that i could not cope i was told i had a 500ml full bladder and yet had no feeling of wanting to go.i medication was upd and was told my needs where urgent with the neuro and that all notes have been passed on there . i have made numerous phone calls and even now writing this my notes are no where ,who is my consultant?all iv been told by the neuro receptionist is that she don't have no info on me but could be a 10 week wait, has my back gone worse due to me not having a scan as first requested when going in on the 3oth ,has it gone worse due to being told to do all kinds of physio and yet no scan had been done to advise me otherwise,i am so frustraited ,unhappy, lossed job,in pain and don't belong to know one in either hospital
