"telephone contact is nigh on impossible"

I have today tried to contact the ophthalmology department to no avail. The direct number went to a recorded message stating it was closed and listed the opening hours, which i was calling within. I called the switchboard and asked to be put through and was cut off twice. On the third attempt i reached the ophthalmology menu and was sent straight back to switchboard who then failed to answer. The phone system is shockingly bad and needs to be looked into. As it stands i will not have the required information prior to attending next week and can only hope this does not jeopardise my daughters procedure.
