Started experiencing seizures and was put under the neurology team in Grimsby. I highly rate and love our NHS from previous experiences but so far with the neurology team I'm really really disappointed. First off my medical records where lost and so had to restart investigations again. The clinic don't respond to mine or my other care support workers calls and if so this could take weeks (or never) even for urgent issues. There is no communication with my GP or social worker or A&E for the times I have been taken in for seizure related injuries (which is a lot!). I was meant to be urgently referred to specialist in Sheffield but this was "forgotten". So far in past 6 months I've had 1 redone MRI, bloods and a half done EEG - still don't know what's causing seizures and still not on treatment. Just feel like I've been left to have my seizures and be housebound with no support - the limited support I receive has come from my requests to social services. Nothing positive at all about the Neurology team and I have found others who feel the same too unfortunately. My only positive is how amazing A&E have always been. Personally, I know it's a way to travel but if you are able to, I urge you to request to be sent to another hospital's Neurology Department!
