About: Telford referral and quality service (TRAQS)

(as the patient),

My doctor referred me to either Telford or Shrewsbury hospital in early February and I received a letter dated late February from TRAQS saying they had been trying to contact me without success, and could I ring them. I did this and the gentleman said and appointment would be sent through in due course and it would probably be in May.

I received a second letter dated a couple of days later confirming this and saying if I had not been contacted in 12 weeks (mid May) to get back to them. It was my intention to contact them early May.

I received nothing until a letter dated late April saying I had failed to attend an appointment and had now been discharged.

I hope I'm wrong but can’t help wondering whether there ever was an appointment and it is a ploy to help referral time targets to be met. I am very annoyed at now being classed as an irresponsible through no fault of my own.
