"Care of 16 year old for bowel operation in Langley..."

About: Watford General Hospital

Our daughter was admitted to the hospital with suspected appendicitis. After an ultrasound and CT scan it became clear that it was something more unusual. She was operated on at midnight to 2am for an Omental defect that had caused her small intestine to become constricted and swollen. This was full open surgery and required an eight day stay in the Langley Ward following the operation. We were most impressed with the staff on Langley Ward who were all so friendly and kind. The care was excellent and we were well informed throughout about what was required at each stage and how our daughter was progressing. Thank you for looking after her so well.
