I was shocked to see an external post tray filled with hospital post standing out on the front shelf of an unmanned desk where the ward was accessible without having to buzz in. Anyone could have taken this mail and have access to patients confidential records.

Dear Anonymous Thank you for contacting us about the post tray you saw at St James’s Hospital. I was very concerned to read that this ward’s post is not being treated in a secure way.
