"Chronic and Recurring ear Infection"

After referral by my GP to the ENT Dept I was somewhat surprised and disappointed to have my appointment with the consultant cancelled and replaced by an appointment with the ENT Nurse. Having endured 4 severe ear infections in 2 years, together with perforated eardrum, it was considered a priority to determine the cause. However, despite my reservations about seeing the ENT Nurse, I am delighted to say that my expectations were exceeded. The ENT Nurse was articulate, experienced in such problems and quickly identified the appropriate medications and a protocol for being seen quickly should the infection return. My grateful thanks.
