""An Excellent Service""

About: Central Lancashire PCT / Community nursing

(as the patient),

The community matron Beverley Walker has been absolutely brilliant. She is caring, medically competent and extremely supportive. She willingly gives her time as appropriate and is always professionally trustworthy. One knows that Beverley will do her utmost with all medical needs to care for the patient. She has defiantly helped to keep me well and at home (and out of hospital). She has good liaison qualities with GPs and surgery staff, hospital, district nurses, pharmacy and the hire of medical equipment. Beverley has kept a check on my breathing and lung quality, as well as taking blood samples due to low salt levels. "An excellent service".

Response from Julie-Ann Bowden, Clinical Quality and Assurance Manager, NHS Central Lancashire

Dear Gradual574

What strikes me most about the comments you have made about Beverley, your Community Matron, is that she is caring and supportive. It is reassuring that she has helped you to stay in your own home, as that is one of the aims of the service, as well as working closely with other healthcare staff that you mention in your posting.

I will make sure that Beverley see the comments that you have made and let her know what 'an excellent service' she provides.

Thank you for taking the time to post your experience.
