When my wife rang 111 to get an ambulance for her mother she had to go through a series of questions which was very disturbing, hence she handed the phone to me to speak to your so call handler, I was also asked the same questions as my wife. During this time my mother in law was getting worse.
When the ambulance arrived they had to give her an ECG a drip to put fluids in, also checked her blood pressure. & gave her oxygen. they could not move her straight away. it was about another 45 mins before she could be moved to the ambulance.
But if an ambulance had been sent straight away instead of waiting on phone at least 45 mins. I think that this service needs to be brought into the 21st century and your people who man the phones need better medical skills
