Hi, I will try to keep my story short. I went to see my gp firstly about 6 years ago, gp recomended I went to see a consultant at wythenshawe hospital. After about 5 or 6 injections my consultant told me I needed a total right hip replacement. October 2011, I had TRH replaced, as soon as I came out of the theatre I knew there was a problem and without going through a long story.
My gp recommended a consultant at Salford royal hospital, he and his team have been fantastic. Now after going through 9! hip operations all on the same hip at its worse I was taking 51 pain drugs! and infections my consultant is sending me to Wrightington hospital, I am going tomorrow, and I will be operated on, the next day, which I have been told, I will have my hip joint taken out, I will have a consultation when I go in. I have been told I will have no hip joint at all and will be in a wheelchair and I will reviewed in about 6 to 12 months. Oh my god I cant see what and how I will be able to move and the impact it will have to my wife and family.
"chronic hip pain"
