I would like to say a great big thank you to the doctors whom I saw on the 9th of July this year had tried to get an appt with my drs was given one for the next day as I was in a lot of pain my family took me to Redcar Primary Care and I was seen straight away by the doctors when one of my Drs still refused to see me The Greenhouse Surgery based upstairs in this hospital the doctor decided to send me straight to James Cook Hospital Middlesbrough where I was also treat with great care and respect and had my appendix taken out by keyhole surgery.I feel if it hadn't been for the care I received from these doctors the brilliant outcome I had could have been very different. Our Nurses and Doctors deserve medals and a very substantial pay rise a very grateful Mrs Pauline Oughtred

Response from Redcar Primary Care Hospital

Good morning Mrs Oughtred Thank you for your feedback regarding your visit to Redcar Primary Care Hospital and your stay at The James Cook University Hospital. I am pleased to learn you are happy with the care and treatment you received. I shall certainly forward your kind words to the staff involved, who I am sure will be equally pleased to read them. It may interest you to know the trust runs a ‘Thank You Award’ scheme where NHS colleagues, patients and relatives can nominate staff in recognition of their work. These are presented throughout the year for acts above the call of duty or where staff have shown exceptional kindness towards patients and their relatives. Please contact the chairman’s office on 01642 854151 or email deborah.jenkins@stees.nhs.uk, should you wish to pursue this. With best wishes for your recovery Yours sincerely Mrs Linda Oliver Patient Experience Co-ordinator
