"Excellent staff and unit"

About: Torbay Hospital

I attended this unit yesterday for an upper gi endoscopy. The appointment, which I had been offered at short notice due a cancellation, was dead on time. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable and treated me as a human being rather than a number. The procedure and any options were clearly explained, as were the results. Overall I was very impressed, everything went perfectly smoothly in a patient centred and efficient manner. Now if they could only fix the parking shambles outside the hospital...

It is always good to receive feedback, whether positive or negative; we try to ensure we share examples of good practice and also that we learn from any negative experiences. Your kind comments regarding the care and treatment received during your appointment yesterday will be shared with our staff. Regarding the parking issue, please be assured that we are aware of the longstanding issues in this respect and we are working hard with the council on some solutions.
