I would imagine 'Mental Health Sevices' was omitted from the department list to prevent a a large amount of poor reviews. The psychotherapist I visited at Millbrook, Kings Mill Hospital was not helpful at all. I've been seeking help for 20 years. I finally got to see a psychotherapist & they just seemed to want to make me feel worse & they were not interested in helping with my issues. Every session had at least one point where the psychotherapist would allude to my illness not being genuine & also for example tell me that they believe I am intelligent (something which I know I am not) & then make a comment/suggestion that is completely to the contrary. I understand many people have a poor opinion of mental health, but to work in the mental health services & offer poor services deliberately aimed at trying to make individuals feel worse is pathetic. I feel concerned for anyone who is 'treated' by the same psychotherapist & doesn't have the strength of mind to see through the psychotherapists intentions. I wouldn't recommend Millbrook to anyone. The asylums may have been closed down but the attitude remains the same in some people.
