"Missed the point"

About: North Tyneside General Hospital

The current NHS system of being constantly referred by the GP for tests not allowing inter speciality referral is very time consuming and delays diagnosis. It has taken over 6 months for me to finally arrive at the correct speciality. I find this unacceptable.

Dear Sir/Madam, I am so sorry that it has taken so long for you to be referred to the appropriate speciality for care.I absolutely understand your frustrations and agree that 6 months is an unacceptable length of time to wait to access the care you need. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. It would be helpful to know more about your particular situation if you were willing to get in touch. I can then ensure your feedback is passed on to our clinical leads forum - which is a joint forum between senior hospital staff and some of our local GP's and commissioning leads. My email is annie.laverty@nhct.nhs.uk Best Wishes Annie
