"Still waiting..."

About: St James's University Hospital

I was admitted to st james's 11/11/13 for gallstones under the care of a professor. After a month of excellent care in high dependency unit Bexley wing I was allowed home and told I was to return for an endoscope. In april this year i was called in for an endoscope only to find after waiting 3 hours there wasn't a bed available and I was sent home. To cut a long story short i have been waiting for eight months, and have not progressed any further. I have not been called back for the endoscope, or received any treatment whatsoever. I have had a drain bag attached to my stomach for all this time. What the hell is happening?

Dear Samuel Duckworth Thank you for your comments about the care in Bexley Wing I will pass these on. However, I am sorry that firstly you had to wait so long for your appointment only to then have the procedure cancelled after waiting 3 hours. This poor experience must have been incredibly frustrating and the fact that you're still waiting must be distressing.
