"Fantastic A&E staff"

About: Tameside General Hospital

Had reason to visit the paediatric A&E yesterday and was there for approx 4 hours we had 4 children with us and 1 was unwell, the staff was amazing even making sure our other children was okay, they made all our children jam and toast and myself and my husband a cup of tea even after the 8pm handover the doctor was was equally as nice and efficient making sure we didn't have to stay longer than necessary as we had a long journey home afterwards ..... Amazing staff and a fantastic credit to the hospital x

Thank you for your great comments which I shall ensure the staff get to see. The team who provide this service at Tameside are committed to providing a great service not just for the children but to the whole family as it is important that we all work together for the health of our younger population.

A busy A&E department can often be hot, noisy and frustrating but the team try their best to ensure that families get seen quickly and decisions are made so that children can go home which is where they really want to be. Thank you again for sharing this with us.

Thank you again

John Goodenough

Director of Nursing

‘’Would you like to help the hospital to improve its services further? We are currently looking for patients and carers to become involved in a development called “Patient Stories”. We want to know more about our services from the point of view of those who received them – what was good, bad, what could be improved, what should be changed. Want to know more about what’s involved? Please contact John Goodenough, Director of Nursing at
