The entire process, from the initial meetings with the consultant, to my admission for day surgery to the two night stay in ward 32 (when keyhole surgery proved impossible), was professional and friendly. At every stage I was made fully aware of my options, what would be involved and what the potential outcomes would be. Without exception the staff I met were supportive and helpful, and I left after two nights knowing what I needed to do (and not do!) for a successful recovery.
