"I should not have been spoken to in that manner"

About: Harmoni / NHS 111 Lincoln County Hospital / Accident and emergency

(as the patient),

I went to A and E after being advised by 111. The reception staff and assessment nurses were wonderful. However the Dr that saw me seemed extremely patronising and made assumptions about my problem without asking me any questions to assess me. She made it very clear she didn't think my problem was worthy of a trip to A and E and it wasn't until I asked for advice that I received anything to help me. I was extremely dissatisfied with the treatment I received and I should not have been spoken to in that manner when I was following NHS advice.

I am very sorry to hear about your experience in the A&E Department. I would be grateful for the opportunity to feed back to the doctor who saw you and I wonder if you would be prepared to contact us so we can gather further information and take appropriate action.

In the first instance can you please either email our Patient Experience Manager - sharon.kidd@ulh.nhs.uk or telephone 01476 464560.
