"I've attended the diabetic ..."

About: Wythenshawe Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

I've attended the diabetic clinic and diabetes centre for a few years now. Always found the staff knowledgeable, helpful and supportive. The nurses use feedback from patients to help other patients and this is a huge difference from GPs/practice nurses who know only the basics about diabetes. I feel involved in decisions about my care. My views are listened to and respected, very important with a chronic condition.

What could be improved

Sometimes communication hasn't happened as it should. Clinic nurses too keen to put drops in for an eye check, without asking first if the eye check has already been done!
