"Giving thanks for my life"

About: The Royal Liverpool University Hospital

2 years ago, I was crushed between 2 HGV trailers, I broke nearly every bone from the waist up, including my face. I was taken to the royal, I was x rayed and scanned immediately and a pain control nurse came and sorted out exactly what I needed for the injuries and pain I was in. I had the best treatment by the best team in A&E whom I believe saved my life. My surgeons who saved my shoulders and arms and my physio therapist, have all given me the best after care & after care I could ask for, for the last 2 years and continue to do so. I'm so grateful for everything the royal and all of it's amazing, friendly, caring staff, have done, not only for me but also my family. I'm the Royal Liverpool & Broad Green Hospital's biggest fan!

Thank you for your incredibly kind comment. We have passed this on to staff. We wish you well in your recovery. We are always on the lookout for patient stories like yours to feature in our internal staff communications and, perhaps, in the local media as well - providing patients are happy to do that. If that sounds like something you would be interested in, then please get in touch with our communications team on 0151 706 5489 or on communications@rlbuht.nhs.uk Thanks.
